Tummy-to-Tummy PositionSee below the basic tie method, for the tummy-to-tummy vertical position. This is recommended for the ones starting to use a Wrap Sling, since it is easy and comfortable. This is also the baby's proffered, as they like to be vertical and not laying down, specially if they have reflux.
Sitting on One Side PositionAs you will see in this video, the Sitting on one Side position is recommended for baby with more than 12 weeks or babies that have enough strengh on their backs to hold their heads. The advantages are that the baby is being hold higher, which allows them to see more of its surroundings and be integrated in the adults activities. This position is easy to learn and the baby can be popped in and out quickly. The disadvantages are that the baby's weight is on one side of the carrying adult, so its not well distributed. It is also not the ideal position for when the baby is sleeping.
On the Back PositionIf you have experience using a Wrap Sling and your baby is more than 4 months old, you can carry her on your back. For the first couple of tries, use a mirror and a doll. Once with the baby, request somebody to assist you.
